Seeing as we are smack dab in the middle of autumn, I thought I would share some of my favorite parts about this transitional season. Here are five things I love most about fall!
- Apple Picking– Maybe it’s because I’m a New England girl, but apple picking is a must every fall. It’s such a fun way to bring together your friends and family and do something in the great outdoors! Plus, who doesn’t love a good apple cider donut when you’re all done!
- Pumpkin Foods– Call me basic, but I love pumpkin! Not so much the classic Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte (because I don’t drink coffee), but I love pumpkin bread, pumpkin cookies, pumpkin pastas, pumpkin curries, pumpkin ANYTHING! My mother is even more addicted than I am because she buys every pumpkin-flavored food in the grocery store as if it’s a collector’s item!
- Jacket Season– If you couldn’t tell from looking through my blog, I have many a jacket and fall is the perfect time to wear them because it’s actually cool enough, but also not icy cold yet.
- Foliage– This one is actually a bit of a love-hate thing. I love the beautiful changing colors of the leaves, as well as the fulfilling “crunch” noise when you step on them. On the other hand, it’s been raining a lot in Montreal for the past few weeks and I live on a hill, so each time I step on a leaf, I am so afraid I will take a tumble. Note to future self: never again live at the top of a steep hill. You will hate it and fear for your life.
- The Return of Awesome TV– After their summer hiatus, many shows return to air meaning fall is full of entertainment. I’ve personally been obsessed with Netflix original shows this season, so if you have any recommendations please let me know!
