The Most Instagrammable Places in NYC

I feel so lucky to live in Massachusetts, only about five hours from New York City. This has means I’ve been to the city load and have tried its countless amazing restaurants, visited its chic boutiques, and gotten swept up in its hectic energy… and I’ve taken lots of photos. Here are some of the best spots to take photos if you find yourself in the Big Apple (super cheesy to use that name, I know, but I went there)!

The Brooklyn Bridge– Both the architecture of the bridge and the Manhattan and Brooklyn skylines make this spot a must-visit for a beautiful walk and lots of photos. Sitting on the side of the bridge makes for great pictures, just make sure you’re cautious about getting up on down!

SoHo– I think you’ll get the most “typical” New York City photos in SoHo. Yellow taxis can fill the background of your photos, loft exteriors can be leaned on for outfit shots, and the numerous stores and cafes can provide you lots of interior shots. I like taking photos at the NoMo SoHo Hotel (pictured left) and then stopping in for a bite to eat.

Pietro Nolita– Located in the Nolita neigborhood right next to SoHo, Pietro is a cute little restaurant and café. To be honest, I wasn’t so taken with its food, but the exterior is perfect! It’s no secret that bloggers like pink and Pietro’s small but vibrant entrance will provide you the perfect pink wall, bench, and street art for endless photos. No need to travel to L.A. when this is hidden right in Manhattan.

Grand Central Station– I’ve unfortunately never been here for photos, but it firmly planted at number one on my list of places to shoot. Maybe its the iconic Gossip Girl opening scene that has made it so desirable to me, but I also think the rush of passersby and the old-school architecture would make for lots of dreamy shots.

The Top of the Rock– It’s pretty simple: great views mean great photos and that’s exactly what you’ll get at the top of the Rockefeller Building. On one half of the building, you will find a sprawling Central Park and on the other you’ll see dozens of skyscrapers. It’s a win-win situation.
