Happy Monday! In addition to being quite steamy, the past week was nice and short owing to the Fourth of July holiday. I spent my extra free time with family, making sure to fit in not just one but TWO mother-daughter mall trips. I haven’t been to a good ol’ fashioned mall for what feels like forever! Ok, so maybe it’s been a month, but that’s an eternity for me. I’ve become so accustomed to online shopping that walking from store to store, talking with salespeople, and holding a shopping bag felt so novel. Nearly every store’s window boasted of a sale inside and it made me realize that buying clothes full-price is a bit of a sham! For instance, yesterday I bought a pair of jeans from Madewell that were originally $135 for $35! After saving $100, the idea of buying those jeans full-price sounds like a highway robbery.

Besides shopping, I’ve just been toiling away at my boring summer bank job. Part of me is actually excited for summer to end, so I can bid adieu to being chained to a desk for eight-hours. My family has just booked a super exciting summer holiday though, so I’m looking forward to visiting a new country and celebrating my mom’s 50th birthday there at the end of the month.
